Collegelinux 2.5 (ObiWan) kompatibel dengan Slackware 9.1 mengemas KDE 3.1.4, GCC 3.2, KOffice 1.2.1, CollegeLinux 'server robot' dan 'CL auto-update engine' berbasis 'slapt-get' terintegrasi dengan 'Konqueror front end' memudahkan update 'on the fly' baik hanya satu package maupun seluruh distribusi.


Among our numerous enhacements:
- Full compatibility with Slackware 9.1 ;
- CollegeLinux server robot: install & configure automatically (almost no question asked) Apache, PHP, MySQL, SQLite, Webmin and Phpmyadmin (mysql front end) and SQLiteManager (sqlite frontend), your complete server & development environment;

- CL auto-update engine: slapt-get based (special thanks to Jason Woodward) integrated with a Konqueror front end. You can now update on the fly every single package or the entire distribution.

- Our own Installer substantially upgraded, more hardware supported.

- Direct connect file sharing, latest kde, koffice, Flash and Java plugins on mozilla and konqueror pre-installed, movie player, cd burner and much more.

- Aside from the GCC update, KDevelop 3.0 Alpha 6 (codename Gideon) and Kate are available, as well as traditional editors such as vim and joe.

- College Linux 2.5 is based on the 2.4.23, the newest kernel in the 2.4 series available at this time. Kernel 2.4.23 includes a fix for a very important security flaw found in prior kernels. The system is also ready for those itching to try newer 2.6 series kernels.
