DeLi Linux 0.7.2 pocketCD

DeLi Linux atau 'Desktop Light' Linux adalah distro khusus dioptimasi untuk komputer generasi lama, - idealnya mulai 486 sampai Pentium MMX 166 -, dan difokuskan untuk desktop.

Menyertakan aplikasi desktop lengkap termasuk: paket office dengan word processor dan spreadsheet, dan lainnya, Memanfaatkan paket-paket software aktual, namun dioptimasi agar tetap ringan sehingga sudah lancar dengan memori sekitar 100MB dan bisa jalaulai 8MB.

Full install termasuk XFree dan development tools, membutuhkan spasi hardisk tidak lebih dari 250 MB. Awalnya menggunakan Slackware 7 sebagai basis, namun sejak versi 0.7.x berpaling memanfaatkan Korn Shell asal OpenBSD sebagai Standard-Shell, sementara mempertahankan installer asal Slackware.




DeLi Linux 0.7.2 is the next and possibly the last release in the 0.7.x branch. DeLi Linux 0.7.2 have the following new features: Linux kernel 2.4.34.4; X.Org 7.2; a new default web browser, Konq-E (Konqueror Embedded) which has Javascript and CSS support; the pdq print system, which replaces lprng; improved and bug-fixed delisetup, deliget and netinstall; other new packages includes nano, Gutenprint, gv and xaw3d, and the new Liberation fonts from Red Hat.
